The Children’s Aid Society of Haldimand and Norfolk held a 5K Walk on Saturday, September 16th, to raise awareness in the community and to raise funds to help local children attend camp or recreational activities (little dreams) and youth attend post-secondary school (big dreams). We surpassed our goal, raising $6,529! Scotiabank has also generously matched our funds raised by contributing another $5,000, bringing the grand total to over $11,500.
Thank you to all of our sponsors: Scotiabank, Outdoor Cap, Foodland Waterford, Unilever Breyers, Coca Cola, Affordable Portables, Domino’s Pizza, The Apple Place and many more local businesses who donated prizes: Canadian Tire, Brantford Twin Valley Zoo, Art With Heart, Barrel Pizza, Child’s Play, Flooring Canada, Magic Piper, Sandusk Golf Club, Strand Theatre, Norfolk County Public Library and the H-N Health Unit.
Staff, youth, board members, foster parents and volunteers also donated items and their time, contributing to our success in making dreams come true for local children and youth!
