On May 14th 2013, The Children’s Aid Society of Haldimand and Norfolk will be celebrating: Children and Youth in Care Day. This day is to help raise awareness, reduce stigma and recognize all children and youth in care in the province. It will also bring into the spotlight the issues and challenges that affect children and youth in care. We have chosen to celebrate Children and Youth in Care Day because the Minister of Children and Youth Services accepted the “My Real Life Book” report on behalf of the Government of Ontario and made a commitment to work towards fundamental change. On this day, The Children’s Aid Society of Haldimand and Norfolk is going to celebrate by having a youth barbeque, eating some cake, socializing and cutting a PURPLE ribbon!
