Christmas Wishes Coming True!

A BIG THANK YOU to Aitken Chevrolet Buick GMC in Simcoe and myFM Radio 98.9 for once again organizing this amazing campaign and delivering over 250 gifts to the Children’s Aid Society of Haldimand and Norfolk! Gifts are donated by community members and distributed to local children and families in need. This generous community support is overwhelming. THANK YOU to all who joined in the spirit of giving, bringing smiles to many children’s faces this holiday season.

Thanks to the Lynn Valley Lions Club

The Lynn Valley Lions Club of Simcoe made a wonderful donation of $500.00 to our Fosters Children’s Holiday Party, which will be held early December.  Shown in the photo from left to right is Bernie Gallagher, Executive Director of the CASHN and Pat Jarrett from the Lions Club.  Thank you for helping to make our holiday party a success again this year.

Community People that Care

Lyn and Peter Benn and Ruth Wilson have been busy putting together Christmas gifts for local youth, and generously delivered 30 gift bags to The Children’s Aid Society today (15 for girls and 15 for boys).  The staff who deliver these gifts and the youth who will receive them, are so appreciative for this good will.  Thank you so much to Lyn, Peter, Ruth and to all of the generous donors from the community of Port Rowan, who contributed items.  “It takes a community to raise a child” and they have exemplified this with their kindness.

Christmas Under One Roof Donation

4 Friends came together many years ago and decided to showcase local vendors talents from the community. Christmas Under One Roof was born and this year the group celebrated their 7th showcase which highlighted 23 vendors, with a large waiting list to attend as well.  They also showcase an spring event.  The friends get together after the show and picked a non-profit organization to receive a donation.  This year their picked the Children’s Aid Society of Haldimand and Norfolk.  An amazing donation of $700.00 will be used for Kids in Care – teenagers to help make their Christmas a little extra special.  Shown in the picture from left to right,  Bernadette Gallagher, Executive Director of the agency accepting the donation from Patti Smelser.  Thank you for being Christmas Angels!!!
